Well, I have to say, watching Maria in action is cheaper than therapy. I don't recall how I first discovered her but the more I watched her Maria Bamford Shows the more her comedy resonated with me. I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder in my late teens and have dealt with it since then. I too lived in California and Minnesota and have an arch enemy from high school who is probably Kristi Kumes twin sister! I too am addicted to Diet Coke and my mother sang "Rise and Shine" to me in the morning before school as a kid. It's wonderful to see a successful female comedian be so honest about her mental illness. It has given me a new perspective on my own psych. issues. It's given me strength and to Maria, I thank you! Someday mental illness will be looked upon like diabetes. It will be taken seriously and people won't judge us for it. Keep up the great work, Maria and thanks for all of the laughs!!! ;D
