So I am going to see if this awesome club can get Maria to perform here. The guy who does all the "my people talking to your people" kind of stuff sounds really interested. The person who does the booking. I think all of you guys should try it and see if it works. This is exciting. Make sure your pitch to get her where you are sounds awesome though

I tried booking comedians before and that didn't turn out so well. This was when I was a college student and corresponded with Tim Heideker about how I was hoping to get him and Eric to come to my college to perform. He emailed back and seemed really enthusiastic about it and asked me to keep him informed on the matter. Unfortunately, I went to UCAB (University Center Activities Board) who's the Great and Powerful Oz of the school's entertainment department and got a hold of one of the guys there who was also very enthusiastic about it and said that he'd bring it up at the next meeting. Months go by with absolutely no word from them other than a prerecorded phone message that said that they were quite proud to bring the students the very best in entertainment. William and Mary sucks that way, I guess and quite frankly, they're the only ones in town who can provide even a decent venue for any comedian. And now that I'm no longer a student, I'll have even less pull with them than I had before. Oh well...maybe if I could convince Maria to promote herself so heavily here that they'll have no choice but to book her. It's a chance at best, though I know she's a very busy woman.

But her job is making people laugh and she's paid to do comedy. Why would she say "no"?

She travels over seas for shows! You should try to get her out your way so she can spread her love there.
