I've owned a few pets in my lifetime, none of them are still alive, unfortunately. I do have to say though that the one pet that stands out for me was Bob. He was a brown anole who was quite fond of the regular crickets and waxy mealworms we gave him. He had a quite dazzling pattern of darker brown on his regular brown that would only show up when he felt like it. Not quite sure if it was some sort of personality thing or what. Maybe it was when he was on some sort of macho kick and wanted to show off his tribals, but regardless, my mother and I read that when brown anoles die they're supposed to turn completely black. The bizarre thing was that when he died he was completely white.
The reason for his unusual post mortem color change is still an ongoing mystery in our family. We're not quite sure if it was some sort of sign of a higher power saying, "This anole was a believer and so both his spirit and his color will transcend." or what. Probably the most reasonable explanation for it was because we had moved his aquarium to the garage and he asphyxiated while our neighbors took care of him. I figure not breathing can turn anybody a paler shade whether you can naturally color change or not. Needless to say though, those neighbors were not allowed to care for our dog.

What's an anole?I had a brown chihuahua named Manuel back in Connecticut when i was growing up.He wouldn't ask you for your Taco Bell either, you OWED him a taco, burrito, chalupa,or something.I'd dream of bringing home a whole meal for him, just to watch him fly up into the air and spin around farting all over the place! ;D

I had a Chihuahua but I had to move and couldn't have her where I lived or afford her leg operation so I gave her to my cousin's girlfriend because she could provide more than I could for her. Missy was an awesome girl. Her gas was terrible.

An anole is a small color changing lizard. Kind of like a chameleon, only not as good at color changing. It can either go with bland flat color to color on different shaded same color patterns. I suppose that's in case you came across either textured bark or...cardboard and wanted to blend in. But, yes, I've wanted to have a cat since I could first remember. Only problem is that my dad hates cats, so he wouldn't let me get one until I moved out and now that I have moved out, my apartment won't allow pets, so, yeah...It appears I've been fated to always be felineless! How cruel art thine fates against mine own lamentable existence!

I'm in Williamsburg. Home of all things historical and a major Anheuser-Busch brewery, not to mention the amusement parks that go with it and the second oldest college in the US. Why do you ask?

How many people here like cats? I'm wondering if my unending love for them is misguided. That and this topic need to get back on...erm...topic.

Well, the question was less about whether you have a cat and more whether you enjoy having a cat. Is my devotion to the feline species really worth all I've hyped it up to be?
