I just watched Maria on Last Comic Standing. Except is was someone named Mary Mack (I think), but you wouldn't know from the voice. Maria's being copied. It's her persona, exactly. Different material, or at least a bit different; half the girl's act was talking about her voice.
Sorry, Maria is just such a unique act. I don't begrudge this girl for having a similar voice, but it's just so similar! The style, delivery--maybe in 20 years after Maria's style has become a standard for new comedians to emulate, but that time has not come.
/Plus, I'm pretty sure that Dan Cummings guy stole a bit from someone, I don't know who, about the squirreladore. Is it hack season on Last Comic Standing? Is it ever not?

Buddy, I just researched Mary Mack's standup, aside from the voice they are very different. That is like saying Maria Bamford and Felicia Michaels are the same person. She makes me laugh so hard too.

David, I came to Maria's web page just to let her know that her comedy characterization, voice, physical stance, previous hair, facial expressions and previous act has been copied by Mary Mack on Last Comic Standing. As I watched, I thought Mary would never be chosen to go on since she had directly stolen most of Maria's act of about 8-10 years ago. It was almost verbatim except for Maria's "mother" part and the "temp" part of the act. I was in distress when Mary went on. I think Maria should be aware of this plagiarist. Shortylongpants is wrong and is probably too young to remember Maria's old act. You are right. Mary was a direct copy of Maria especially her previous comedy routine.
