Hi Maria! Glad I found out about your Comedy Central show in time to schedule my life around it. Will be sure to be watching.
I'm Jim from Kentucky ... I called one of Jackie Kashian's first podcasts when you were a guest ... I'm a big fan of hers, and I went on and on about her until I guess she got uncomfortable and asked me to say something good about you too. It caught me unprepared, I stammered out something; but now I remember especially appreciating your work about a year previous. I voted for you in the Comedy Central comic competition a year ago because I like your work, your cute-but-impish persona ... and of course the intelligence and wit underneath it all, the same reason I admire Jackie. I know you two must have a blast together. I'll call a future podcast and go public with these accolades.
Good luck with the LA TV Star effort. You've got what it takes, and I know you know that. Tell Jackie you heard from me (she hasn't lately, eek, but I can only offer the lame excuse that I didn't want to bother the newlyweds). We have a great comedy club in Lexington, frequently makes industry top 10 lists, called Comedy Off Broadway (I think you've played it before). and I promise to be ringside the next time you're there. (I'm not a creepoid stalker, Jackie will tell you; I'm a married 50-ish guy, hardly the stuff of fantasy. I just appreciate an intelligent woman, especially an intelligent woman comic, and I think more women should be encouraged to take their turn at the mike.)
Good luck...SEe you on TV! -- Jim in Kentucky
