OK, guys. Maria is playing in Marin on April 28th at www.142throckmortontheatre.com/. I'm going. I've been to her last 3 San Francisco shows. I'm hoping I might actually be able to meet her this time. Are there any other Bay Area Bamfordians going? And do you want to try and get together to meet Maria so we can all tell her how awesome she is in person? Lemme know!

Don't forget your cell cam too!We need photography. ;D ;D ;D Ain't that the truth! The Cell Cam has become the new camcorder of the millennium. You have to be real, real careful about what you do in public. No telling when someone will catch you scratching or putting fingers where you shouldn't in public!

Looks like I am going to the show! It's an early Mother's Day gift from me to my mother (obviously) and I am getting off work a little early because my friend can work for me! Well, I need to double check on tickets before I can say I am positive I am going because if there are no ticky tickies then I will be bummed and have to think up something else super fun for Mother's Day.

I was wondering the same thing about the conflicting schedule. It would be super awesome to get to meet her but if I don't get to this time then I'll have to catch another show with Lane. He's seen her 1 more show than I have. www.ucbtheatre.com/schedule/showdetails.php?showid=1403 Says nothing about Maria being there for the 10 p.m. show in Los Angeles but you never know. Maybe they're just showing a video with her in it?

It's gotta be that they are screening the Plan B videos. There's no way she could do both shows. I'm very excited about the show in Mill Valley. Looks like I'm going to meet shortylongpants and her mom and we're going to try to meet the Bammer herself -- by any means necessary. To meet Maria Bamford, I am willing to give sexual favors to the necessary roadies and security personnel . Even though I am heterosexual. But only as a last resort. Shortylongpants, I hope I can count on you for backup on this. I'm assuming your mom is on board as well. You know, I may be thinking of how you get to meet Van Halen. But the point is, we all have to fully commit to this as a team. I did send Maria an email last weekend, for the first time, proclaiming my admiration and asking if she'd meet me after the show. Her response -- Zip. Nada. Nothin'. Maybe she thinks I'm a potential stalker. Of course I'm not, because Maria lives like 5 hours away from me. Have you seen the price of gas lately? Cheers, Lane

Well, I won't go through that length to meet her so I guess we're not a team. I have a lot of respect for her and I am really excited about the show. If I got to meet Maria and I wasn't soooooooo shy I'd ask her if she wanted to get a bite to eat because I am sure I'd be hungry and maybe she'd be hungry too. Then I'd mention that the bubble gum under the table (if we're seated at tables) was not too filling but a real restaurant is worth a go if it's not too late to chow down.
I am sure she will respond to your e-mail. She has responded to my many e-mails but you have to keep in mind that she is busy busy busy and she reads all the e-mails. I e-mailed her tonight and asked if she is meeting fans after the show so we will see what happens!

Rumor has it that Dana Carvey will also be playing at the Maria show this Saturday. Woo-hoo! Can't wait to see that. I know he's been trying out new material in clubs all around the Bay Area. He lives in Mill Valley, I think.

Maria impersonating her mom trying to explain the first time she saw the Church Lady skit. That would be a riot. I've never seen Maria headline so this will be extra special other than the fact that I am taking my mom. Early Mother's Day gift and that's not the half of it ;D

Someone doing a 3rd person impersonation would be interesting but interesting in a good way.
